This includes providing expedited collection and processing of different types of payments and correspondence for our customers and electronic documentation.Essential FunctionsPerform quality checks on outbound mail and conduct basic troubleshooting and escalation of system/department issues Operate and maintain high or low speed scanning equipment for duration of shift, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiencyMonitor systems and make workflow decisions driven by customer deposit, scanning, data entry, and transmission deadlines to meet deadlines and maintain service level agreementsApply customer rules to perform desk related duties including credit card processing, pulling rejected work, labeling processed work and, responding to emailsMeet department production and quality goals by processing multiple accounts with accuracy and in compliance with processing proceduresComplete data entry item processing for scanned images, manual keying, and field validation of multiple accounts according to processing proceduresProcess Protected Health Information (PHI) and card payments in compliance with HIPAA, Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards, and all other applicable policies and regulationsCross-train and deliver results in other areas of the department as neededPerform other duties as assignedWork SchedulePart time; Saturday - Sunday 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredAbility to learn systems used within the departmentAbility to ask questions, identify opportunities for improvement, offer solutions to more complex issues, then retain information and apply details and logic to future situationsAbility to understand customer instructions and follow department guidelinesMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesModerate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookAbility to be flexible and work overtime hours when neededManual dexterity and eye-hand coordinationAbility to lift and move mail trays weighing up to 15 poundsRepetitive hand movementAbility to stand for up to 8 hours may be requiredEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required2+ years of payment processing or related experience in production environmentrequiredFor this position, Commerce Bank is required to certify that you are not excluded from working with federally funded healthcare programs.
