Position Overview: This role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate care as a Stepdown RN within a dynamic progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will hold current RN licensure and possess at least one year of PCU nursing experience, with preferred skills in high acuity drip management, arterial line care, and experience with BiPAP and Airvo devices. This position is based in the Blue Springs, MO area and involves 12-hour night shifts. Location Insight: The position is located near Liberty, MO, a community known for its welcoming residential neighborhoods and vibrant local culture. This area provides a balance of suburban comfort and access to amenities, making it a desirable location for healthcare professionals seeking a supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to patients on a progressive care unit during night shifts (1845-0715) - Monitor and manage complex patient conditions including high acuity cases - Administer medications and treatments, including drips and arterial line care - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes - Participate in orientation and ongoing training programs Qualifications: - Valid RN license with current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications - Minimum of 1 year experience in a PCU or similar acute care setting - Preferred experience with arterial lines, high acuity drip management, and respiratory support devices such as BiPAP and Airvo - Ability to float to lesser acuity units as needed - Willingness to work every other weekend and major holidays with scheduling flexibility Schedule: - 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715) - Orientation Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Additional Details: - Contract position with bi-weekly pay - Nicotine-free facility - Orientation includes 8 hours without billing - The client may cancel one shift per pay period with minimum notice and no penalty Interested candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply promptly.
