13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1
year experience as a traveler in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
setting is required. License: Candidates must possess both Missouri
and Kansas state licenses or a compact license. Certifications:
ACLS BLS PALS Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 12 months of
experience in a traveler setting. Description: This position is for
a Registered Nurse specializing in the Pediatric Intensive Care
Unit. The ideal candidate should have experience caring for
critically ill pediatric patients. Nurses will provide advanced
illness management and health promotion for patients requiring
critical care. They will utilize the nursing process and scientific
principles to deliver high-quality, comprehensive, family-centered
care. Continuous monitoring and reacting to changes in clinical
status is essential. Patient and family education, advocacy for
complex needs, and care coordination with the multidisciplinary
team are key responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include
managing ventilated patients, ICP monitoring, and interpreting
dysrhythmias. This role involves caring for a diverse patient
population, including neonates, infants, and adolescents with
various acute and chronic conditions. All nurses will float between
facilities as needed. Only AHA certifications for BLS and ACLS will
be accepted. Eligible candidates should have a strong background in
pediatric critical care nursing. Candidates may be subjected to
medication/dosage testing during the first week of orientation. A
successful passing grade is required to continue in the position. 5
